Dolphins Sports Academy

The Petero Civoniceva Foundation strengthened their participation pathway with the introduction of the West Fiji Dolphins Sports Academy.

The West Fiji Dolphins has experienced considerable success in the Fiji National Rugby League, being crowned national Vodafone Cup champions at Under 16s and Under 18s grades and winning the Premier grade National Nines title.

The West Fiji Dolphins Sports Academy introduced a Dolphins Touch Footy team in 2020.

Several players, having been coached through the Dolphins Sports Academy, have been selected for national representative honours and have received contracts from international sports teams - changing not only their lives but the lives of the whole family.

Semi Valemei, a former West Fiji Dolphin, made his NRL debut in 2020 with Canberra Raiders and won the Club’s Rookie of the Year award.

Through the collaboration with Petero's Sports Tours, the Foundation has hosted sports teams from several countries to provide the West Fiji Dolphins the opportunity the compete against international opposition.
