The Foundation has strengthened its talent development and elite participation pathways through the establishment of a structured sports academy model, supporting young athletes to progress from grassroots participation to competitive and high-performance environments.
The academy supports participation across multiple sports and provides opportunities for young people to compete in organised local competitions, promoting skill development, discipline, and teamwork.
Athletes supported through the academy have achieved strong competitive outcomes at youth and senior levels, reflecting the quality of coaching, training environments, and pathway design. The programme has also expanded regionally to increase access to structured development opportunities.
A number of athletes who have progressed through the Foundation’s pathways have gone on to achieve national representative selection and secure opportunities with teams overseas, contributing to improved life outcomes for participants and their families.
The Foundation is equally committed to building coaching and leadership capacity, supporting the development of local coaches and technical staff who contribute to both community and high-performance sport.
To broaden experience and raise performance standards, the Foundation facilitates opportunities for athletes to compete against visiting teams and external opposition, strengthening exposure to diverse playing styles and high-level competition.
